Travel Information to Falmouth
Directions to Falmouth High School, Gifford St.
Due to the popularity of the race, there will be heavy traffic coming into Falmouth on Race Weekend. If you plan to come in the night before or the morning of the race, it is imperative that you allow yourself plenty of extra time. Please be aware of these issues and either schedule accordingly or be prepared to sit in traffic.
From Boston to Race Headquarters
- Going out of the Airport: Follow signs for Ted Williams Tunnel
- Go through the Ted Wiliiams Tunnel Toll Booth and proceed toward I-93.
- Take Exit 24 toward I-93 South, exit in on the left side.
- Coming out of Boston you are on the Southeast Expressway heading toward the South Shore.
- At the first major split - go right heading for Rte. 24 South (Brockton) and Rte. 95.
- About three miles later take left exit for Route 24 South & 495 (Brockton - Fall River).
- Follow Route 24 (15-18 miles) to Route I-495 (South - Cape Cod)
- Stay on I-495 for about 20-25 miles until you come to the Bourne Bridge.
- Go over the bridge.
- Enter the rotary at the end of the bridge and go out the other side getting onto Route 28 - "Falmouth and the Islands."
- Follow Route 28 and get off at the Brick Kiln Road exit.
- At the bottom of the ramp take a left onto Brick Kiln Road.
- Take Brick Kiln Road for one mile turn, at the first set of lights, Gifford St., turn left.
- The high school will be on your left.
From the Massachusetts Turnpike to Race Headquarters
Mass. Pike (East or West) to I-495 Exit
- Keep right at the fork in the ramp
- Merge onto I-495 South
- After about 58 miles, I-495 becomes 25 E
- Go over the Bourne Bridge
- Enter the rotary at the end of the bridge and go out the other side, getting onto Route 28 - "Falmouth and the Islands."
- Follow Route 28 and get off at the Brick Kiln Road exit.
- At the bottom of the ramp take a left onto Brick Kiln Road.
- Take Brick Kiln Road for one mile, turn left at the first set of lights, Gifford Street.
- The high school will be on your left.
From Providence, Rhode Island
- From T.F. Green Airport:
- Exit the airport and get onto I-95 North (Providence)
- 3-4 miles up I-95 bear right onto Route I-195 (Cape Cod)
- Follow I-195 to the end of the road (40 miles), and follow signs for Falmouth - Bourne Bridge.
- Go over the bridge.
- Enter the rotary at the end of the bridge and go out the other side, getting onto Route 28 - "Falmouth and the Islands."
- Follow Route 28 and get off at the Brick Kiln Road exit.
- At the bottom of the ramp take a left onto Brick Kiln Road.
- Take Brick Kiln Road for one mile, turn left at the first set of lights, Gifford Street.
- The high school will be on your left.
From Mid-Cape to Down-Cape
- Follow Route 28 South to the Mashpee Rotary.
- At the Rotary take Route 151 towards North Falmouth.
- Take Rte. 151 to the third working traffic light, Sandwich Road, and take a left.
- About three miles down Sandwich Road, take a RIGHT at the first set of lights, Brick Kiln Road.
- At the next set of lights take a RIGHT onto Gifford St.
- The high school will be on your left.
