Falmouth Road Race named “Best Road Race.”

The Falmouth Road Race has been named “Best of New England” by Boston Magazine’s New England Travel and Life for 2006 in the category “Best Road Race.”

According to the magazine, “the Falmouth Road Race has become synonymous with summers on Cape Cod. Since 1973, runners from New England and around the world have gathered in August to compete in the 7-mile race. Fans line every inch of this course to lend their support – making it the running spectacle of the season.”

According to race co-director Rich Sherman, "We share this honor with each and every race volunteer, as well as our wonderful sponsors and the thousands of runners who participate. We are delighted at this news!"
