Falmouth Road Race Philanthropy
Falmouth Road Race, Inc. proudly supports programs throughout our community that promote health and wellness with a specific emphasis on youth programs. Each year the Falmouth Road Race commits to a large project, which could be a multi-year commitment, for the betterment of the overall community’s health and wellness. In addition to the annual sponsorship of the VIPS Elementary Track Meet, FRR, Inc. has been an event sponsor of the Boys & Girls Club of Cape Cod, the Lawrence/Falmouth High Athletic Hall of Fame, several Falmouth Track Club events and have made race entry donations to local organizations for fundraising purposes.
FRR, Inc. Mission Statement:
Falmouth Road Race, Inc. is committed to supporting and promoting local organizations with specific focus on youth athletics and programming that promotes health and wellness. These efforts are realized by consistent community involvement and ongoing philanthropic endeavors including donations, scholarships, grants, and sponsorships. Its annual, internationally recognized 7-mile road race features an iconic seaside course enjoyed by elite and recreational runners since 1973.
Donations to local groups for race-related volunteerism:
Each year, we have approximately 40 local groups that volunteer during race week. To show our appreciation, these groups are given a donation by FRR, Inc. Without the support of our volunteers, this event could not be successful. They are instrumental in every area of the race including runner gift bag construction, t-shirt folding, water stops, set-up/break-down and clean-up of all events from the Health & Fitness Expo and Number Pick-up, the SBLI Falmouth Family Fun Run, the Falmouth Mile and of course the New Balance Falmouth Road Race itself! Falmouth Road Race, Inc. will also review grant requests twice a year. These requests will come from organizations that fit within our philanthropic goals listed above. They must also do the following:
- Request funding within the deadlines listed below. FRR, Inc. will not review requests at other times of the year.
- List organization name, contact name, email address, mailing address and phone number.
- MUST include proof of 501(c)3 issued by IRS.
- Any request made by a school-based organization must have a letter of support written by the school principal.
- Request a specific amount.
- The request must include:
- The requestor’s timeline
- Specifics on what the donation is to be used for and how it will better your organization or the community
- Type of recognition or benefit to Falmouth Road Race, Inc.
- The request must include:
Grants will be reviewed twice per year. To be considered for a grant, please submit your grant proposal and any supporting paperwork by June 1, 2017 to email@example.com.
*Grants outside the scope of our mission will not be considered*
