Falmouth Road Race Philanthropy

Falmouth Road Race, Inc. proudly supports programs throughout our community that promote health and wellness with a specific emphasis on youth programs. Each year the Falmouth Road Race will commit to a large project, which could be a multi-year commitment, for the betterment of the overall community’s health and wellness. In addition to the annual sponsorship of the VIPS Elementary Track Meet, FRR, Inc. has been an event sponsor of the Boys & Girls Club of Cape Cod, the Lawrence/Falmouth High Athletic Hall of Fame, the Cape & Islands Grace Veteran Program and have made race entry donations to local organizations for fundraising purposes.

FRR, Inc. Mission Statement:

Falmouth Road Race, Inc. is committed to positively impacting individuals and businesses in Falmouth through consistent involvement with the community and annual philanthropic giving.  The organization promotes health and fitness through community programs and its annual internationally recognized road race that has provided an iconic course, enjoyed by elite and recreational runners since 1973.

Donations to local groups for race-related volunteerism:

We have nearly 40 local groups that volunteer during race week and to show our appreciation, these groups are given a donation. Without them, this event could not be successful. They are instrumental in every area of the race including runner gift bag construction, t-shirt folding, water stops, set-up/break-down and clean-up of all events from the Health & Fitness Expo and Number Pick-up, the SBLI Kids Fun Run, the Falmouth Mile and of course the New Balance Falmouth Road Race itself.

Groups that participated in the 42nd running include: Boy Scout Troops 36, 40 & 42, Cape Cod Cycle Team, Cape Cod Rugby, Coalition for Children, East Falmouth PTO, Falmouth Baseball Boosters, Falmouth Figure Skating, FHS Band Parents, FHS Athletic Boosters, FHS Boys Soccer, FHS Choral Boosters, FHS Class of 2015, FHS Cross Country, FHS Football Team, FHS Girls Field Hockey, FHS Girls Hockey Team, FHS Girls Soccer, FHS Softball, FHS Boys and Girls Track & Field, Lawrence Academy Girls Hockey, Mashpee Boosters, Mashpee Youth Baseball, Mashpee Touchdown Club, Mashpee High School Trip, Mass Maritime, Rotary Club of Falmouth, Upper Cape Spartans, Waquoit Nursery School, What's Falmouth Reading, Woods Hole Transportation.
