Official 2010 race poster selected

Falmouth, Mass. - The official 2010 CIGNA Falmouth Road Race poster has been selected. The winning artist is Eileen Powers of Centerville, Mass.
Eileen runs her own studio, Javatime Design, and has won numerous local and national awards as a freelance designer. In addition to her design work, Eileen is an avid runner and a published poet.
The poster will be for sale at the race headquarters, Aug. 11 to 14, for $1. The artist will attend the race Health and Fitness Expo on Saturday, Aug. 14, to sign the posters.
The contest was coordinated by the Falmouth Artists Guild in cooperation with road race officials and pays a $1,000 cash prize for the winner.
An exhibit of the winning poster and the top 35 submissions will be held at the Falmouth Art Center, 137 Gifford Street, Falmouth on Friday, Aug. 13, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday, Aug. 14, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 15, 12 to 4 p.m.
